About the International Siltie Alliance (ISA)

The International Siltie Alliance (ISA) is a global nonprofit, non-governmental, and non-partisan organization committed to the advancement, unity, and empowerment of the Siltie people—both within Ethiopia and across the global diaspora. Established by a collective of community leaders, scholars, and activists, ISA aims to serve as a unifying platform where Siltie voices, heritage, and aspirations are amplified and respected on the world stage. Rooted in centuries of history and cultural resilience, the Siltie people have made significant contributions to Ethiopia’s social, cultural, and political fabric. The ISA honors this legacy while working to ensure that the community thrives in the face of modern challenges, including globalization, migration, and marginalization.

🌍 Our Vision

A connected, empowered, and self-reliant global Siltie community that thrives in unity, celebrates its heritage with pride, and actively participates in shaping inclusive societies—locally and internationally.

🤝 Our Mission

Our goal is to bring together the global Siltie community by focusing on cultural preservation, education, advocacy, socio-economic progress, and sustainable development. We aim to empower individuals and communities, helping them reach their full potential and play a meaningful role in creating a just and equitable world.

🎯 Our Story

The International Siltie Alliance was established out of a pressing need to create an organized framework that supports the aspirations of Siltie people globally. Many have migrated in search of better opportunities, yet they continue to face challenges such as loss of identity, economic and social underrepresentation, and the erosion of their cultural heritage. The ISA aims to tackle these issues head-on by fostering a shared vision and a roadmap for long-term collective progress. ISA operates on the belief that preserving our identity while striving for progress go hand in hand. We are confident that by honoring our heritage and investing in our community, we can turn challenges into opportunities.
